What does your AI actually know about markets right now? We asked a frontier model three live market questions bare, then asked again with a LunarCrush context pack. Both answers are printed verbatim.
Each question was asked twice on the same day: once bare, once with a small markdown context pack built from live LunarCrush data (interactions, engagement sentiment, per-network mood, attention spikes, timestamped posts). The model was explicitly told to say so when it could not know current data. Answers below are verbatim and unedited.
Same model, same question, asked 2026-07-22. Left: the model alone. Right: the model with a LunarCrush context pack (downloadable below).

Asked about live markets without live data, the model did not say "I cannot know that": it produced confident, specific, plausible-sounding claims that nothing in its context could support. With a pack attached, the same model cited real numbers, real timestamps, and real posts. That is the entire argument for grounding: the ungrounded answer is not obviously wrong, which is exactly what makes it dangerous in a research workflow.
Fair caveats: one model, three questions, one day. This page is a demonstration you can rerun in about a minute, not a benchmark. The packs are downloadable below; swap in your own harness and check us.
Every pack on this page was generated from the same API that powers the commercial feed. Point your assistant at the LunarCrush MCP server and it can build packs like these on demand, for any ticker, topic, product, or person, with live data instead of a snapshot.
The three context packs used above, exactly as the model saw them, timestamps included.
The .md file is a companion brief for AI assistants: schema, methodology, and validation anchors. Drop it into Claude or ChatGPT next to the data and your model starts from the right place.
Two-week institutional trials include API and MCP access, so your assistants and your researchers pull from the same live source. Most teams have a grounded workflow running the same week.
